Your profile, biometrics, baselines, and every logged workout live in a local database on your iPhone. Besides the backup and the account details below, the only things that leave your device are the usage events, screen recordings and install attribution described further down. Deleting the app deletes the copy on your iPhone. One exception: workouts LOGBK saved to Apple Health (when you enabled "Save workouts to Health") live in Apple Health, not in LOGBK — they stay until you remove them in the Health app.
If you have an MTNTOUGH All Access membership, LOGBK backs up your workout log, profile, personal routines, assessments and preferences to our server, so you can restore them on a new or reset iPhone. The backup is tied to your LOGBK account and stored with Supabase. It never includes data read from Apple Health. The app sends each change shortly after you save it. If your membership ends, the app stops sending changes; you can still restore for 30 days, and the copy is kept for one year after the membership ended, then deleted. We email you when the backup pauses, when restore closes, and 30 days before the copy is deleted; those emails are sent through Resend, as the sign-in code is. Deleting your account deletes the backup at once.
LOGBK has accounts. Signing in sends your email address to our server and to Supabase, the service that stores LOGBK accounts and makes the one-time sign-in code. The code is emailed to you from support@mtntough.com through Resend, our email delivery service, which receives your email address and the message. We keep your email address and the times you signed in. We do not keep a password.
If you have an MTNTOUGH+ membership, our server asks MTNTOUGH's platform, Uscreen, which member uses your email address. If your membership is under a different email, the app sends a one-time code to that address, and we link the membership only once you enter it, proving the address is yours. We keep that member id, the name and email on that membership, and whether the membership is active, so the app can unlock the programming it covers. We also hold a copy of the MTNTOUGH member list, provided by MTNTOUGH, to check membership status. We never read your MTNTOUGH password.
Our server writes a short log line for each sign-in, membership and account request: what was asked, the answer, how long it took, and your account's random ID. It never logs your email address, your sign-in codes, or anything you train. Our host, Railway, keeps these lines, along with its own record of each request's time, address and IP address, for up to 30 days.
You can disconnect the membership in the app at any time. You can delete your account in the app, after entering a code we send to your email, or by writing to the address below. Deleting it removes your email, the membership link, your sign-in and every session, your backup, and any other email you proved only to connect a membership. It does not cancel or change your MTNTOUGH membership, which you manage with MTNTOUGH, and log lines already written age out as above. If your email was given staff or complimentary access by hand, that grant is not part of the account: it stays until it is withdrawn, so it still applies if you come back.
You can buy MTNTOUGH+ in LOGBK. In the App Store, Apple takes the payment, and only Apple holds your payment details. LOGBK sends our server the signed record Apple gives the app for the purchase, with your account, so the server can check it with Apple and unlock MTNTOUGH+. The record says which plan, when, and Apple's numbers for the purchase. We keep it, and Apple's later notices about the subscription (renewals, cancellations, refunds), with your account. To make or find your MTNTOUGH account, our server sends the name and email you confirm for MTNTOUGH+ to Uscreen, MTNTOUGH's platform, and keeps them with your account. If that email is not your LOGBK one, the app first sends a one-time code to it, proving the address is yours. To decide whether you can have a free trial, it looks at whether you had MTNTOUGH+ or a trial before.
In the United States you can pay on MTNTOUGH's website instead. That checkout is MTNTOUGH's own, run by Uscreen and Stripe under MTNTOUGH's privacy policy. To open it, our server asks Uscreen for a checkout link for the plan you picked, passing on your IP address. LOGBK opens the link in Safari and learns only whether your membership is active when you come back.
Deleting your LOGBK account does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel it in your Apple ID's subscription settings.
The beta signup form on this site asks for your name, which phone you use, the program you train, the email your invite should go to (on iPhone, your Apple Account email), and, optionally, who sent you. We also note the country your request came from when our host provides it. We store this with Supabase and use it only to choose testers and send invites; for iPhone, we give your email to Apple, which sends the TestFlight invite. To remove a signup, write to the address below.
Connecting Apple Health is optional. When enabled, LOGBK reads active energy, heart rate, physical effort, cardio fitness, cardio recovery, BMI, and workout entries to show what your body actually did — and, if you train without a watch, writes your finished workout and its estimated calories back to Health. Health data never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and is never used for advertising.
LOGBK sends usage events (for example: workout started, set logged, workout finished, which buttons are tapped) to our analytics provider (PostHog) to help improve the app and to turn new features on for some users before others. The events carry a random user ID generated on your device (you can see it in Profile) — never your name, email, location, or any health value. IP-based location is explicitly disabled. Usage analytics is part of how LOGBK runs and is always on.
To see where the app is confusing, LOGBK records how its screens are used — what was on screen and what was tapped — and sends the recording to PostHog with the usage events, along with the app's network requests (the address, method, result and timing of each). Recordings can show training numbers on screen, such as weights, reps and estimated calories. Anything read from Apple Health (heart rate, measured calories, cardio fitness, cardio recovery, BMI, effort), your notes, and anything typed into a text field is blacked out before it leaves your device.
To learn which MTNTOUGH campaign or link brought you to LOGBK, the app reports its installation and launches to Kochava, MTNTOUGH's attribution provider, along with your device's identifiers, its make, system version, language, time zone, network type, carrier and battery state, the general location its internet address implies (never a precise location; LOGBK reads none), and, for an install that came from an Apple Search Ads campaign, which campaign it was, plus the App Store receipt that proves the install is genuine. If you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt, that includes the advertising identifier (IDFA), used only to credit the campaign; decline it and the install is counted without it. No training, health or account data is ever sent to Kochava. LOGBK shows no ads and never sells or shares your data with data brokers.
LOGBK provides fitness guidance, not medical advice. Consult a physician before starting any training program.
